NEW-GENERATION INSULATORS

HORS manufactures polymer insulators for various areas of application:

  – for urban electric transport,

 – for railway overhead contact system,

 – for high-voltage power lines (line insulators),

 – insulators (10-110 kV pedestal insulators), casings OPN (6-85 kV, 220-330 kV)

 
XOPC polymer insulators consist of a high-strength glass-reinforced plastic bar with end terminals and ribbed silicone casing. Due to the work of experienced specialists and the use of state-of-the-art high-quality materials, XOPC insulators have the following advantages:

high durability, vibration and shock resistance, anti-vandal construction provided by the strength of composite glass-reinforced plastic bar and resistance of silicone rubber to ozone ageing (practical service life in the open air exceeds 25 years),
 
high electrical characteristics provided by the silicone casing self-cleaning during the entire guaranteed service period and water-repellent character of the casing (water remains on the insulator surface as separate beads and does not form a continuous water film),
 
light weight providing convenience of installation, transportation and storage.

The design department provides prompt high-quality development of customized insulators according to the customer's specifications.
 
During designing of the shape of end terminals and casing ribs, computer methods of electric field intensity analysis are used.
 
In manufacture of the insulators, special attention is given to the quality of silicone composition and adhesives to ensure reliable bonding of the casing to the bar. Tightness of the casing/terminal interface is provided by application of a portion of the protective coating on top of the terminal which has labyrinth sealing grooves.
 
During development of documentation and quality inspection, all parameters providing the above-listed advantages of the insulators have been checked.
